Bio

U.S. Highway 61 runs 1400 miles along the Mississippi River from South Louisiana to Central Minnesota.  Louisiana-born piano singer-songwriter, Jason McLain, has followed that same route.   A kid in Baton Rouge, growing up in Cleveland, Mississippi, and now living in Lowertown Saint Paul, Minnesota, he has lived within a couple of miles of the Great River Road for most of his life.

US 61 is also the musical backbone of America, transporting the soul of American music from New Orleans through the Mississippi Delta, Memphis, and St. Louis, all the way to the vibrant Minnesota music scene that he now calls home.  Shaped by all of those influences, he aims to write songs that are both honest and identifiable.
